Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic GRADUATES who are looking for a progressive route in SECONDARY TEACHING.

What is the Future Teachers Programme?

  • Graduates will have the opportunity to become a Teaching Assistant for 1 full academic year to gain a variety of classroom and teaching based experience
  • You will be placed in one of Teaching Personnel's partner secondary schools which are all part of a reputable educational trust across south and central Manchester
  • Starting September 2019 - full time 8:30 to 3:30
  • Paid experience- earn £1140 per month as a Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • After completing your year as a Graduate Teaching Assistant , you will have the opportunity to progress on to your teacher teacher with a Manchester based training secondary school - SCITT (can sometimes be the same school you were a Graduate TA at!)

This is a fantastic opportunity for Graduates to gain practical experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant to decide if teaching is the career for you!

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with identified pupils in small groups and on a 1:1, providing support and tuition to utilise your degree subject knowledge to raise pupil attainment
  • Cover lessons for teachers with pre-set work to gain classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Assist lesson and activity planning alongside teachers to upskill you in this area
