Future teacher needed for South Manchester

Are you coming to the end of your degree and looking to secure a place on a secondary teacher training programme in the future.

Do you wish to gain valuable secondary school based experience prior to commencing a schools direct teacher training programme.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for "Future Teachers" to work in Secondary Schools across Manchester, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Cheshire East.

What is the Future Teachers Programme?

  • Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with Secondary schools across South Manchester to support with the introduction of Graduates and Aspiring Teachers.
  • Successful Graduates will secure a fixed term support role within a partner Secondary school, working within the specialist subject, supporting the class teacher and working towards a teacher training place.
  • On successful completion of the Future Teachers Programme, Graduates will secure a place onto the schools' training programme for 2019.

Are you eligible to be considered?

  • If you are a recent Graduate or are coming to the end of your degree in a subject relating to a Secondary school teaching specialism (English/Maths/Science/Humanities/Physical Education/Performing Arts).
  • If you have previous experience working with children and young people. This is not essential but is desired.
  • If you are eligible to apply for a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS check and can provide two references.
  • Full UK Driving Licence or access to transportation

**This is an exciting opportunity for any Graduates wishing to pursue a career in teaching, and to gain invaluable paid experience prior to securing a teacher training place. **

Our partner Secondary schools range from challenging, to 'outstanding', and will support you throughout the Future Teachers Programme. You will have the opportunity to work alongside class teachers and cover full lessons to build confidence in the classroom. You will work with students across the age and ability range and be provided with the skills necessary to succeed in teaching.
