Functional Skills Tutor - Derby

Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to work with LAC students on a 1:1 basis either in a local library or residential home.

You could be working with children who present with challenging behaviour, Autism and SEMH. We are looking for a resilient personality and someone who can build relationships quickly and effectively with disadvantaged children.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Have experience of teaching Functional Skills at level 1 and level 2
  • Previous experience of working with disaffected pupils
  • Previous experience with teaching Functional Skills on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • The ability to build strong and effective relationships quickly
  • Experience with working with individuals who present with challenging behaviour
  • Pay based on qualifications and experience
