Are you a newly qualified or fully qualified teacher looking to work in a forward thinking mainstream secondary school? Do you have recent experience teaching Geography to key stage 3 and key stage 4 students?

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Geography teacher with QTS to teach KS3 and KS4 students at an Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Plymouth from EASTER 2019. This school is located on the outskirts of the city and has excellent resources with an established and expanding Humanities department.

This role is on a long term basis of 5 days per week with the potential of a contract towards the end of the academic year. The Humanities department need an experienced teacher of Humanities to teach Geography. If you are a specialist in RE or History but are confident across all aspects of the humanities curriculum then you may be suitable for this job. There are planning and preparation responsibilities to this role and the school are looking to pay between £115 - £125 per day dependant on experience.

The successful candidate:

  • Must have QTS
  • Will be a NQT or FQT teacher of Humanities and be confident in teaching Geography up to GCSE
  • Will be able to commit to 5 days a week and start from EASTER 2019
  • Will have a proven track record of successful exam results
  • Must have an engaging and proactive approach to teaching
