Our client secondary school located in the south Manchester area is looking for a French graduate to join their team starting on Monday 25th March 2019. The successful French graduate will be fulfilling the role of a cover supervisor on a full time basis, covering the majority of French lessons with some other general cover involved.

This full time position is ideal for a French speaking individual who is looking for a role within a secondary school as an unqualified teacher; gaining valuable experience which could support a future PGCE, teaching training application.

Cover Supervisor role:

The role involves:

  • Cover French and general lessons at this outstanding secondary school
  • Pay will range between £325 - £425 per week dependant upon experience
  • Fulfil the role of the class teacher in the absence of the teaching member of staff
  • Gain extremely valuable experience supporting within a secondary school environment, covering lessons within the languages faculty focussing on French
  • Opportunity to plan and mark lessons if applicable or looking to gain experience in this area
  • Highly supportive outstanding secondary school with experience of supporting graduates

This cover supervisory role has become available as a result of maternity leave taking place of the school's full time cover supervisor. The successful French graduate will be teaching French lessons in the main with some general cover taking in other subjects such as Art and Design. Any experience of supporting within a secondary school environment or teaching/tutoring will be highly beneficial. This is a full time position for the period of 9-12 months covering a maternity leave.

The school is graded as outstanding by Ofsted and is a school of choice by many in the local area. Being situated in the south area of Manchester, it is very easy to access for any French speaking candidates that live in Didsbury, Fallowfield, Chorlton, Burnage or Levenshulme. The school has an on site car park and fantastic facilities including 2 large playing fields, 2 separate buildings on the same site and an excellent languages provision with students studying French, Spanish, German, Urdu and Arabic if interested in doing so.
