Due to an upcoming gap in their Technology department, our client secondary school in Rochdale are looking to appoint a skilled practitioner with previous experience delivering the GCSE curriculum.

This position has arisen due to an extended leave of absence upcoming next academic year. 

  • September 2020 start date, full time teaching post
  • Ofsted ‘Good’ school with excellent results and outcomes
  • Delivering Food & Nutrition spec across 11-16
  • Excellent facilities in a newly built extension to the main school

Teaching Personnel are working alongside our client secondary to secure a temporary Food teacher for a maternity cover, and the most desirable candidate will hold a teacher training programme specialising in Food Technology, or one of the other disciplines of the Design and Technology umbrella with experience teaching Food Technology. As this position is an extended maternity cover, the incoming teacher will assume full responsibility for planning, marking and delivering schemes of work for their classes throughout.

Situated in Rochdale, our client school is a modern academy which is well-equipped in their provisions for learning, allowing teachers to use state-of-the-art technology to enhance the learning experience of students during lessons. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, our client was judged to be ‘Good’ across all areas and making continued improvements across the school in all areas. The school has good accessibility to the M62 motorway, linking the school to Manchester and Leeds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
