EYFS TA Start September Full time
A school in Plymouth are seeking to appoint a EYFS TA to work 1:1 with a pupil demonstrating challenging behaviour, this role has come up as a result of additional funding being put in place to help the pupil focus in class and remain in mainstream education.
The pupil has demonstrated foul language, and acted in a physical manner towards school property, they have not been physical to staff or other pupils. External agencies are working closely with the school and family to support the pupil.
The successful candidate should be able to manage challenging behaviour and thrive in a challenging work environment. There is plenty of job satisfaction available with this role as helping this child access learning with have a major impact on the rest of their life.
The school are a mainstream Primary School and are hoping that the appointed person whether practising catholic or not will contribute and join in with class/school worships and help instil good catholic morals into the pupil they are supporting through setting a good example.
Must haves -
- Hold a NVQ level 2 teaching assistant qualification or above
- Have a good GCSE in English and maths
- Ability to personalise learning to meet the child's needs.
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
