EYFS Teacher
Job description
Exciting opportunities await EYFS Teachers in Scunthorpe! Join us in supporting a range of short and long-term positions within our partner schools, not only in Scunthorpe itself but also in the surrounding areas of Lincolnshire. We are seeking dedicated EYFS practitioners to lead early years settings, ensuring the delivery of the EYFS framework and curriculum.
The Role:
As an Early Years Teacher, you will engage and connect with young children through a creative and imaginative teaching approach. Proficiency in implementing EYFS strategies and adapting resources to foster exploration and engagement is essential. Your role will contribute to creating an exciting, safe, nurturing, and accessible environment for children's development.
Effective communication with children is a key aspect of this role, along with maintaining high standards of written communication to accurately report observations on children's progress against relevant EYFS curriculum standards. Your motivation will drive the development of each child, preparing them successfully for their transition into KS1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and stimulate children's learning abilities through experiential learning.
- Provide pastoral care, fostering a secure learning environment.
- Assist in the development of personal, social, language, and physical coordination abilities.
- Create visual aids and teaching resources.
- Encourage mathematical and creative development through various activities.
- Foster curiosity and knowledge in children.
- Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and volunteers to plan indoor and outdoor activities.
- Share knowledge with fellow practitioners and maintain strong relationships with parents.
- Observe, assess, and record each child's progress.
- Ensure the health and safety of children and staff during all activities.
- Stay updated on changes in the curriculum and best practices.
Salary:
Enjoy competitive rates ranging between £120 and £150 per day, depending on experience. Term time only.
Working Hours:
Full-time hours (Minimum 8:30 am – 3:30 pm), with the possibility of extra hours for meetings, inspections, and parent consultations. Flexible posts are available for suitable practitioners.
Qualification and Vetting:
The successful candidate must provide proof of the appropriate qualification (UK QTS certification), and ECTs are encouraged to apply. Candidates will undergo 'Child Only' DBS checks as part of our vetting procedures. Referees' details will be required upon request.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
