EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bootle, Liverpool

Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)
Rate of Pay: £13.75 - £16.66 per hour

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming Catholic Primary School seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025. This role is ideal for someone with strong literacy and numeracy skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young learners at a crucial stage of their education.

The Role:

• Supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with their learning and development.

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement engaging learning activities.

• Assisting with phonics, early reading, and numeracy interventions.

• Encouraging positive behaviour in line with the school’s Catholic values and ethos.

• Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working within EYFS or an early childhood setting.

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

• A caring and nurturing approach to working with young children.

• The ability to support pupils with SEND, including Autism and ADHD (desirable).

• A commitment to upholding the values of a Catholic school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
