Are you an English graduate with a passion for education and a desire to help children develop crucial early literacy skills? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to support primary schools across the Sefton area this Autumn Term.
Role Overview:
As an English Graduate working with Teaching Personnel, you will play a key role in supporting pupils in EYFS and KS1, primarily through:
-
Phonics interventions (small group and 1:1 delivery)
-
Teaching Assistant support in the classroom
-
Assisting with literacy development and early reading skills
-
Supporting class teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment
What we’re looking for:
✅ A degree in English or a related subject
✅ A passion for working with children, particularly in Early Years and Key Stage 1
✅ Strong communication skills and a caring, patient approach
✅ Previous experience in a school setting or working with children (desirable but not essential)
✅ Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or be registered with the update service)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
