Cover Supervisor - Doncaster
- Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school
- Contract type: Term-time only, 30 hours per week
- Start date: ASAP Working hours are 08:15-15:15, with a 20 minute break & 40 minute lunch break
Teaching Personnel are seeking a full-time flexible Cover Supervisor to join our partner school in central Doncaster. The successful candidate should be passionate about supporting young people in their learning, will enjoy engaging with students and will be able to demonstrate excellent behaviour for management skills and an inclusive ethos'.
Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but is not essential as full training and support will be given. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a secondary education setting as a full teaching qualification is not a prerequisite. However, a good standard of literacy and numeracy is required with sound subject knowledge across all areas. This might be demonstrated through educational qualifications or previous professional experience.
The job involves covering whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. Work will be set but you will need to respond to questions, maintain good order and keep pupils on task, to ensure the highest possible standards of achievement and personal development. The successful Cover Supervisor will undertake a range of tasks to assist the smooth running of the school, such as helping with the management/preparation of resources and working with smaller groups of students outside of lessons.
Our partner school is located in central Doncaster and easily accessible via public transport from the city centre. The school has a positive atmosphere and in their most recent Ofsted Inspection, our partner school was judged to be 'Good' in all categories. The school has a fantastic reputation for supporting the needs of students, providing excellent pastoral and academic support. Systems are kept simple so that students are clear about staff expectations regarding behaviour and that it is their responsibility to make the right choices.
