Experienced Year 6 Teacher needed in Great Harwood

A Primary School in Great Harwood are in need of an experienced Teacher to join their 'welcoming and warm' team. The role is to begin after the May Half Term and is on a temporary basis until the Summer Holidays. You are required to teach the Year 6 Class and prepare them for their SATS and deliver high quality lessons following the National Curriculum in a structured and organised way. The School have a huge push on Maths so a strength in delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons is paramount.

Due to this, the Head Teacher has stressed she want to employ someone who has had a vast experience preparing Pupils for their SATS. You MUST have a proven record of raising attainment at a previous employment.

The Class holds 30 pupils, with a mixture of 'Below', 'At' and 'Exceeding' 'Age Related Expectations' and a small number of children with Special Educational Needs. Due to this you must have efficient and effective differentiation in your planning. You will also have the support of a Teaching Assistant who should be utilised to deliver effective Maths and English interventions.

The School is a reputable School and the general behaviour of the School is 'Good' as stated by the Head Teacher. The Head Teacher would like the successful Applicant to be up to date with current safeguarding and behaviour policies.

If you are successful, the Head Teacher would like you to come in to the School and do a short interview and also deliver a short lesson which is to be observed. The School has recently been graded 'Good' by Ofsted and the Head Teacher wants to keep up the high standards around School.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ÂŁ100-ÂŁ130 per day (varies depending on experience)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
