Job description

Teaching Personnel, work with a number of schools and we are currently looking looking for experienced EYFS Teaching Assistants for Harrogate and North Yorkshire areas.You will mainly assist and support the teacher with individual students.

Applicants need to be enthusiastic, creative, reflective practitioners who understand how children learn. Be flexible and willing to work as part of a supportive team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good references (at least 2 references in the last 6 years)
  • Relevant First Aid, Health & Safety and DBS checks in place

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the high quality of teaching of all students who are assigned to the post holder, having responsibility for their progress, welfare and outcomes.
  • Supervise the work of any support staff who are assigned to work with the post holder's students.
  • To have an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers and the statutory framework within which teachers work.
  • To take responsibility for implementing school policies and practice, including those relating to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
  • Provide leadership across the school in a designated subject or curriculum area.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a school environment
  • Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to students with a wide range of needs.
