Exams Manager

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional looking to play a key role in a school's success? We are seeking an experienced and proactive Exams Manager to join a thriving secondary school from December.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take responsibility for the planning, administration and smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations. Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and examination boards, you will ensure the examination process runs efficiently and in full compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration and delivery of all examinations throughout the academic year.
• Manage examination entries, amendments and candidate registrations.
• Produce and maintain examination timetables, seating plans and room allocations.
• Ensure full compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
• Liaise with staff, students, parents and examination boards regarding exam arrangements.
• Recruit, train and manage a team of invigilators.
• Coordinate the processing and distribution of examination results.
• Handle post-results services, including reviews of marking and appeals.
• Maintain accurate records and provide examination-related reports when required.

• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritise workloads.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working within an examinations, administration or school environment.
• Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures (desirable).
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and school management systems.
