Are you determined to help pass on your subject knowledge to students at GCSE level?



Teaching Personnel are currently working exclusively with a school in the Derby area who are looking to implement an English Mentor scheme in the new academic year. This will begin as of September and run right through to the GCSE exams.

As an English Mentor, you will be responsible for working with small groups of students to help them prepare for their GCSEs. So a relevant degree and passion for delivering English intervention is essential, with previous paid or voluntary work within education beneficial.

The school are working closely with Teaching Personnel to make sure that they are well staffed in the new academic year with English Graduates, meaning that you can tailor the amount of work you undertake to your own needs. You could work across the Trust on a full-time basis or spend 2-3 days working at 1 school within the Trust.

The Head of Department at each school offer an incredibly supportive environment and are happy to coach mentors in preparation for the sessions.
