An East London Secondary school is currently looking for a Russell Group University Graduate to join their impressive English department for the next academic year.

• English Graduate from Russell Group University

• School Direct program for outstanding Candidates

• £60 per day minimum

• Long Term/Interim, Full-Time role for English Graduate as an academic coach.

The Ideal candidate

We are looking for an ambitious and gifted English graduate who has achieved a 1:1 degree in their studied discipline and doubtlessly decided to pursue a career in teaching. This post requires a graduate who has the skills to explain tough topics in a coherent, efficient way that will reach even the lowest performing students.

About the Role

In this Academic Mentoring post, you will be working in the department that most closely correlates with your skills, experiences, and formal qualifications. You will be working with pupils who are struggling in English and you will be helping them reach their targets. As an Academic mentor you will work 1:1 and in small groups with talented and gifted children, as well as challenging pupils.

The School has a track record of developing talented English Graduates and high level teaching assistants into teachers through Schools Direct.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
