English teacher needed for Maternity cover - September start date - Wimbledon

  • £120-210 a day

An 'outstanding' Catholic school located near Wimbledon are looking to hire an English Teacher to start in September as maternity cover

Teachers applying will require a PGCE or QTS

This 'outstanding' rated Catholic school located in Wimbledon are looking to hire someone for maternity cover in their English department. Ideally they are looking got a fully a qualified English teacher to start in September on a full time basis. This role would require teachers to prepare and plan students work, and would involve working with key stage 3 to key stage 5 classes.

Requirements

  • Teaching qualifications, PGCE or QTS
  • Experience teaching English, literature or language, at KS3 to KS5 is needed
  • Would need an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (Teaching Personnel Ltd can assist with an application)
  • Can provide a full and comprehensive career history
  • Two educational based graded references, ideally from the two most recent places of work

Teachers would require experience teaching classes at key stage 3 to key stage 5 and possess good class room management.

Positions are open to Newly Qualified Teachers

The school will accept NQTs. Any teacher who will be considered should be an ambitious English Teacher who aims for, and maintains, high standards of teaching and a proven track record of good to outstanding teaching. Although the behaviour in the school is very good, the Senior Management are looking for staff who are able to manage challenging behaviour, experience with behavioural issues or SEN is not imperative but would be welcome.

Whether you are an experienced English teacher or an NQT who has just qualified, you should be confident in your ability to hit the ground running and continue the high level of learning achieved by the English department.
