Our client secondary school are looking for an English teacher to join their English department in September at the start of the upcoming academic year. The school are looking for a confident and effective classroom practitioner who is available on a full time basis. This is an open vacancy within the English department for a teacher of English to fulfil.

Initially this English post will be on a supply basis with the view to the successful English teacher transitioning on to a permanent contract if the applicant is interested in such a role.

  • Pay range dependent on experience and payscale: range between £22,917 and £38,633

The school is situated in the central Manchester area making it very easy to access for any teacher on public transport. The local tram link services the school very well with regular trams (and buses) going to the school with a very short walk. The school is housed in a new building with excellent facilities and a large secure on site car park.

The successful English teacher will be teaching KS3 and KS4 across the entire ability range. Students are in mixed cohorts so differentiation will be key as well as strong classroom management and a professional manner.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
