Are you an English Teacher with full QTS?

Are you looking for work in the Burnley Area in September?

A school in the Burnley area has the need for a new English Teacher to begin in ASAP to teach KS3/KS4 and to help with the provision of the whole school literacy programme. For successful candidates the Head Teacher will be looking to make a permanent position available. The school is a larger than average secondary school with over 1500 pupils on roll. The school has recently been graded 'Good' in their Ofsted inspection and they are keen to secure someone who will be proactive in assisting the school with their journey to becoming an 'Outstanding' school.

Although the school are ideally looking for a full time Teacher of English they have the capacity in the department to consider applications from applicants looking for part time applications (no less than 0.6). The school are keen to secure someone ASAP and candidates should be available for interview before the October half term.

NQT's and experienced Teachers would be considered for the role. Candidates considering the role should be comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour. The teacher should have high expectations embedded into their work ethic along with strong subject knowledge of the KS3/4 curriculum in English. The role involves teaching to KS3/KS4 and would also include completing some intervention work with the GCSE classes.
