English Teacher - Sheffield - Easter Start

Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit an experienced Teacher of English to a medium sized secondary school based in Sheffield. The role shall involve teaching both KS3 and KS4 whilst managing a team of 3 Teaching Assistants. The school are looking to hire immediately for the role as it shall be covering a Long Term sickness absence on going until the end of the academic year.



Person Specification:

The school will be looking for a strong, experienced English Teacher who can offer students an uniquely creative way of learning and a hard-working attitude towards pupil progress. If you can offer experience within the English department from a mainstream secondary school then this will be a superb opportunity for you to develop both personally and professionally. The department require a dedicated English Teacher who can work both independently and as part of a cohesive unit, and who can, crucially, teach with an energy and an enthusiasm that will inspire and motivate students to deliver their best work.



The Role:

As an English Teacher at this OFSTED graded 'Good' Secondary School, you will be working within a fantastic department and will find yourself surrounded with experienced colleagues who will provide you with a support network from the very first day you start. Aside from the Teaching side of things, a large part of your role will include liaising with the schools leadership team to discuss pupil progress and also any requirements that you have that can improve the curriculum or the teaching within the department. The English Department is very well equipped with the latest resources to help you teach effectively, and you will have access to a range of equipment and subject-specialist software to aid you in creating interactive lessons.
