English Teacher in Whitby for Tuition

  • 1:1 Support for pupils not in mainstream education
  • Hourly pay rates from £24 to £30 per hour
  • SEN includes ASC, SEMH, MLD, SLD & ADHD

Outstanding Teacher required for a Council Service in Whitby and surrounding areas

Teaching Personnel – Whitby, are recruiting for a Specialist Behaviour school in the Whitby area. Our client is looking to appoint an outstanding, creative teacher to join their well established, successful and supportive team. The service provides an alternative education for vulnerable young people aged 4-16, often with challenging behaviours. The service also provides specialist provision for students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). Applications from both experienced teachers and NQTs are welcomed for this role. The post is to start as soon as possible, with a September start also very desirable.

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with pupils with additional needs and will have evidence of planning and delivering an engaging and well differentiated curriculum.

If you are an excellent classroom practitioner, love working alongside challenging students, building relationships and maintaining trust, this could be the job for you. Applicants should posses the following:

• A formal teaching qualification with QTS

• Experience of working with students with additional needs (SEMH/ASC)

• Experience of delivering a well differentiated curriculum

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
