Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a English teacher on behalf of a Good secondary school, located in Barnsley ahead of the academic year September 2018.

Due to a gap within the English department, an exciting opportunity has opened up for a English teacher to join a progressive team.

  • Full time English teacher position, September 2018.
  • Temporary position within a high achieving mixed secondary school, 11-16.
  • Chance to advance within the English department, through a supportive leadership system.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917-£38,633)

This Ofsted rated 'Good' school, in all sectors, has approximately 1200 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, with modern facilities and on site parking.

The department is led by a creative staff team, focused greatly on student satisfaction and attainment. Located on the outskirts of Barnsley town centre, this promising secondary school is well situated to be accessed via M1 and good public transport links from the surrounding areas; Chesterfield, Rotherham, Barnsley & Doncaster

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
