English Teacher Vacancy, Catholic High School in Liverpool - September 2017

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with the Liverpool Archdiocese and a client Catholic Secondary school in Sefton, Liverpool who are looking to recruit an adaptable, honest and hard-working English Teacher to begin a 12 month fixed term contract from September 2017.

The incoming English Teacher will be expected to:

- Hold UK QTS (NQT or experienced)

- Have a valid DBS Certificate or be willing to apply for one

- Have up to date and recent teaching references

- Effectively plan and deliver engaging English lessons at varying abilities in KS3/4

- Have a sound knowledge of the AQA syllabus

- Confidently manage behaviour

- Be willing to take an active role within the school (meetings, trips, Parents Evening etc.)

A Roman Catholic Secondary School based in Bootle with specialist Business & Enterprise status. It is a smaller than the average-sized secondary school where the proportion of students supported by school action is slightly below that found nationally and the proportion supported by school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is slightly above that usually found. The school is a 10 minute drive from the M58 and there is parking on site for staff. There is also a bus stop and a nearby train station with transport links to Wirral and Liverpool for those on public transport.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
