Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with an over-subscribed Bolton based secondary school to appoint a passionate English teacher on a full-time basis from September 2019 (or sooner if possible) for a fixed 12 month period.

Due to a restructure within the English department, this large secondary school are seeking a dynamic English practitioner looking to take on a full-time role. If you would like further information for this exciting opportunity please see below.

  • Full-time English teacher required from September 2019 (or earlier if possible) -12 months.
  • Must hold QTS alongside a relevant Degree level qualification within English.
  • Applications are urged from both experienced and newly qualified English teachers.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406 per annum.

The incoming English teacher will be reporting to the Head of Department and will be responsible for the teaching and learning of English at Key Stages 3/4. As an outstanding English teacher, you will be expected to consistently deliver dynamic English lessons alongside maintaining the highest standards of professional practice, teaching and expectations of all pupils.

The successful English teacher will be required to;

  • Have up to date subject knowledge and a track record of success in maximising pupil progress across all key stages.
  • Consistently deliver outstanding English lessons in line with the National curriculum in order to support pupil progression.
  • Take on extra curricular responsibilities where required as the English faculty utilise a variety of activities such as theatre visits, academic support sessions and intervention.

Based towards the north side of Bolton, our client secondary school is easily accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Preston and Salford. There are also various public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
