Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a client school that are looking to appoint an English Teacher to cover an upcoming maternity. It will be on a fixed term contract basis which will commence April 2017 until December 2017. The Headteacher is hoping to act fast and ideally wants to shortlist before the February half-term, with a view to interviewing early April.
The Position:
• Full-time timetable, Mon-Fri
• KS3 English, GCSE English Language & Literature (AQA)
• Years 7-11 (varying levels)
• 2 term fixed term contract (Apr-Dec 2017)
• Maternity cover
• Appropriate release time given to plan and mark
• M4-UPS1 role (this is negotiable depending on experience)
The School:
• Large, mixed comprehensive High School in Liverpool (L13)
• Popular, over subscribed, multi-cultural 11-19 school – ‘Ofsted 2016: Requires Improvement’
• % of pupils with SEN is above average - Strong SEN provisions in school
• Behaviour of pupils is good, very few lessons are disrupted by poor behaviour
• Central Liverpool location, 2 minutes from Queens Drive, close by train and bus links
