A secondary school in the Tameside area has an upcoming open vacancy for an English teacher to start with them on Monday 20th April following the Easter break. This English teaching position is to fulfil an open vacancy with a subject specialist being required, able to teach up to GCSE level. The successfully appointed English teacher has the opportunity to transition onto a school based contract where they would become a permanent member of the English department.

The successful teacher of English will be expected to take on all planning and marking responsibilities from the offset with pay being in line with experience and pay-scale. The successful English teacher is required from Easter until the end of the academic year with the view to continuing onto a contract prior to the summer holiday.

Key aspects of this English teaching role:

  • Pay dependent on experience and pay scale; ranging between GBP1950 and GBP2900 per month
  • Work within a ‘Good’ graded secondary school in the Tameside area
  • Full time, long term teaching position starting on Monday 20th April 2020 for the remainder of the academic year
  • School boasting excellent facilities and outstanding leadership

This is a ‘Good’ rated school secondary school located in the heart of Tameside on the east side of Greater Manchester, set in very pleasant surroundings. The school has a great reputation and is considered an integral part of the local community. Students that attend are polite, enthusiastic about school life and engaged with their learning making it an enjoyable school to teach at for any English teacher.

The role will involve teaching English Language and English Literature to GCSE level aswell as taking part in all departmental responsibilities. The school is situated very close to the local train station so for those on public transport as well as having an on site car park for all staff to utilise.
