Are you a qualified English Teacher looking for a change ready for October 2017 and January 2018? Have you got at least 1 years experience working within a Key Stage 3 or 4 provision? Do you hold QTS, or have you completed the GTP?
I am looking for a Qualified English Teacher to deliver Key Stage 3 and 4 class lessons, small group and intervention teaching. The provision is based just south of York and in their most recent OFSTED grading, were judged to be 'Good'. The centre provides full time education for students excluded from mainstream schools and some of the students do display a range of behavioural, social and emotional issues. The school's exam results have gone from strength to strength over the last few years, thanks to a supportive Senior Leadership Team and the trusting relationships that have been built with students, colleagues and parents alike. In 2016, there were 93 Year 11 students on roll and 70% of students achieved 5 GCSEs or equivalent at A*-G. In total, 96% of Year 11 students left with at least 1 qualification, including Entry Level 3.
As the ideal candidate, you should be available full time, however for the right person; the school will accept a teacher with 3 days availability. The school like for teachers with qualities such as loyal, honest, hardworking, resilient and committed. This role will be to continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of it continuing through to September 2018 and beyond. You will need to provide me with your 6 year career history and reference details for your two most recent placements of work. Any CPD would be advantageous, such as Team Teach training or Autism Awareness, however these are not essential and can be provided by Teaching Personnel.
