Job description
‘Good’ graded Roman Catholic High School currently require a number of Teaching Assistants to join their support department, with both full time and part time opportunities available from September 2024.

- Opportunity to earn £84-95 a day
- Providing general classroom support to the class teacher
- Supporting pupils in groups and on a 1:1 basis
As a Teaching Assistant working within out client Secondary school you must be able to show enthusiasm, be approachable and be willing to get involved within the activities in class.
You will be responsible for liaising with students during the lesson to make sure that they are comfortable with the work that has been set by the class teacher in order to prevent students from falling behind and ensuring lessons operate as smoothly as possible. You will have opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 basis and also lead small group sessions for students that require additional support.
You will have the opportunity to lead classes delivering pre planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will be fully supported by Senior Leaders and experienced teachers within school.
This is a Catholic faith school, therefore you must respect the Catholic ethos of the school. The school is located on the outskirts of Wigan bordering Salford which makes for easy access from surrounding areas; St Helens, Warrington, Leigh and Chorley.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
