Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary school in South Stockport, in order to recruit an English teacher. The secondary school is located in a rural area of Stockport, in a leafy Manchester suburb. The secondary school is easily accessible for teachers who drive, 15 minutes from Manchester's outer ring road. The school is also accessible by public transport, with good links from Manchester city centre. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded Outstanding in all areas. The school is one of the highest achieving in term of results, and has an excellent reputation in the local and surrounding areas. The schools leadership was something that was highlighted as a particular strength, as well as the ambition of the pupils and the dedication to their learning. The school have a strong focus on the development of their teachers, with CPD Training being offered every half term, and the Head of English closely mentoring other teacher in the department.

The English Teacher vacancy specified is for a full time position, starting in January 2019. The school are seeking an English Teacher who has a passion for both English language and literature, and will display infectious enthusiasm in the classroom. There is an opportunity available for a school based contract following the initial introduction from Teaching Personnel. The successful English Teacher will be experienced in delivering the curriculum up to KS4, and will be able to meet the high standards of this Outstanding Manchester School.
