Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with the Liverpool Archdiocese and a client Catholic Secondary school in South Liverpool who are looking to recruit a passionate, dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to begin a 12 month fixed term contract from September 2017.
The incoming English Teacher will be expected to:
- Hold UK QTS (NQT or experienced)
- Have a valid DBS Certificate or be willing to apply for one
- Have up to date and recent teaching references
- Effectively plan and deliver engaging English lessons at varying abilities in KS3-5
- KS3, GCSE Language & Literature, As/A-Level English Literature
- Confidently manage behaviour
- Be willing to take an active role within the school (meetings, trips, Parents Evening etc.)
The School:
A Roman Catholic Secondary School and Sixth Form with Academy status located in Woolton, Liverpool, England. Years 7 to 11 are male only whereas the Sixth Form are co-educational. The College has a rich history going back to 1842 and has a strong Catholic based Christian ethos. The school consistently performs above the national average; in 2016, 69.7% of pupils achieved Grade C or above in English, 65.9% achieved the same in Maths. Recently the school has received a grade of ‘Requires Improvement’ but the whole school are confident of turning that into a ‘Good’.
