Are you an experienced and motivational teacher with an outstanding record of implementing effective teaching & learning sessions and managing pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and ensuring good progress?

A Pupil Referral Unit, including a Hospital Education Service, a Home Tuition Provision and an Outreach Inclusion Support Team is currently looking for an innovative, inspirational and experienced English teacher.

You will be required to teach English to Years 7-11, including up to GCSE level, and lead the improvement of the subject area throughout the school. This is a particularly demanding role and the successful candidate must be committed to creating a positive learning environment no matter what barriers they may face. You will need a high level of resilience, commitment and emotional intelligence to support our vulnerable young people.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience of working in a PRU, Alternative Provision, or School and with learners with SEND or Emotional, Behavioural and Mental Health Needs.
• Have a passion for their specific area and achieving high standards in their work and high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Be committed to achieving high standards in their work and have high expectations for behaviour and learning · Be flexible, cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff.
• Be able and willing to form a positive relationship with pupils in order to support their personal and social development in accordance with the school's guideline
• Be consistent, calm and a reflective practitioner with a growth mind-set
