Are you an English or Mathematics graduate? Are you looking for opportunities to work within a primary school setting as a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant? Are you passionate about learning?

Well Teaching Personnel might have the perfect opportunity for you!

I am working closely with a smaller than average Catholic primary school based in the Salford (M7) area. If you are an English or Maths graduate and have previously been a teaching assistant or have tutored in the past and are seriously considering a career in teaching then please keep reading.

  • Level 2 teaching assistant role (1xEnglish - 1xMaths)
  • Smaller than average primary school
  • Supportive environment with opportunities for training and development
  • Annual salary £14000

The Salford primary school is looking for teaching assistants to work closely with the more gifted year 5 and 6 pupils, stretching them and creating a platform for the pupils to fully reach their potential. Within your role, you will be given support from a strong leadership team with opportunities for training days to support your own personal development. Your responsibilities will involve:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in their chosen subject
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or tutor
  • A strong academic record (GCSE and A-level's in your chosen subject)
  • A confident and outgoing personality and commitment to working for the full year

This Roman Catholic primary school in Salford belongs to the Salford diocese and has a strong Catholic ethos which it promotes to its pupils. A candidate doesn't have to be a practising Roman Catholic however they must be able to support and promote the Catholic ethos of the school. Candidates holding a Catholic Certificate of Religious Studies (CCRS) are also encouraged to apply for this role.

The role will start on the 3rd September 2018 and will be a 12 month fixed contract.
