Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an English Graduate to join our client school in Tameside. This position will begin ASAP to support pupils with their upcoming  

The highlights of this position are:

  • The salary for this position is between £425 to £525 per week, based on a 6.5 hour working day.
  •  This school is currently going through large changes to make improvements, it will be a fast-paced and interesting environment, great for gaining experience and a real opportunity to make an impact.
  • This position will be highly rewarding as you will be working with small groups of students who are struggling academically, especially in the run up to GCSE examinations.
  • Support from Teaching Personnel as well as the school as you enter a career in education.
  • Minimal planning or marking for a reduced workload.

This school is located in Tameside, it is easy to commute to in a car or on public transport from areas such as Dukinfield, Openshaw, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Newton, and Hyde. It is a mixed school for students between the ages of 11 and 16.

For this position, it is essential that you are a recent English Graduate, looking to start a career in education. The main responsibilities of this role include working with smaller groups of children or on a 1:1 basis to target the learning requirements of children who are struggling more than their peers. You will be responsible for ensuring that the classroom is always a safe environment for the children and that the behaviour of the children is always well managed. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Teacher in their delivery of lessons.

For this position it is essential that you are an English graduate. You must also be wiling to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, also providing at least two employment-based references. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures is also important.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
