Teaching Personnel are working with Secondary Schools across Bury who are looking to recruit English Graduates as part of their Teaching Assistant team for September 2019 until the end of the academic year. Our client schools have identified a staffing gap for Teaching Assistants to join their team on a part-time basis, approximately 2-3 days per week. The schools are accepting applications from recent English Graduates with experience in a Secondary school or other educational setting being desirable.

  • Earn up to £300 per day, dependant on experience and responsibility.
  • Must have an English degree or be in your final year of completing an English degree

This position will incorporate supporting English teachers in the classroom alongside supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups outside the classroom.

Working as an English Teaching Assistant, you will be:

  • Working alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16.
  • Supporting students who require extra literacy support.
  • Expected to incorporate, plan and deliver inventions to aid the student's learning and behaviour with the hopes of raising their progress and attainment
  • Assisting students on a 1:1 basis when they are withdrawn from English lessons to attend literacy intervention sessions.

Our client schools are located across Bury and are easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton and Wigan via A56, A58 and M66. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the schools from neighbouring areas of Greater Manchester.
