The role:
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an English Graduate for one of our 'Good' Secondary Schools in the Chorley area. You would be expected to be at school for 8:35am until 3:15pm.
Typical responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support within their studies
- Provide KS3 and GCSE tuition sessions in English lessons and English revision classes
- Lead small classes and deliver pre set revision resources
- Track and monitor the progress made by pupils within sessions and feedback to senior management
- Cover lessons with pre set work in different subjects when the classroom teacher is absent
Future Teachers Programme: The programme is designed in partnership with Teaching Personnel. The successful graduates will complete 12 months (Academic year) working within the school completing a range of roles including Supporting Teachers in class, leading small groups in your specialist subjects, monitoring pupil progress and attainment and reporting to class teachers. Upon completing the initial 12 month position the Graduates will then start on the school direct teacher training at one of the partnered schools with the view to becoming an outstanding Teacher.
