Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistants on behalf of our client primary school in the Newport area.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be assisting the teacher in a Nursery/Reception class. The school are looking for a teaching assistant who has a caring and nurturing relationship with the pupils which supports and enhances the learning in the classroom. The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in the Early Years and with children with speech and language difficulties.

If you have relevant experience or just even have a real passion to contribute to the learning environment, register with us; we have work for you!

We want someone who:

  • Can support pupils with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Can support pupils with English as a second language
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural and physical needs of pupils
  • Can work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils
  • Can prepare the classroom for lessons
  • Keep the classroom in good order
  • Can create displays of pupils' work
  • Can help on school outings or at school events

In order to be suitable for this role you will need;

  • To have previous experience working with children
  • Child Workforce DBS on the update service
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council
  • 2x Successful References
  • Some form of training is preferred but not essential.
