Early Years Practitioner

Location: Edgware

Start Date: April 2018

Contract type: 1yr fixed term

Contract term: Full or Part- time

Salary: M1 - M2 (Outer London)

A two form entry school in Edgware are currently looking for an Early Years Practitioner to start after the Easter holiday for a term. In their last Ofsted review, the school were rewarded Good due to the strong leadership of the SLT team and their innovative teaching approach. The ethos of the school is to provide stability to all students with a focus on developing character, a desire to learn and social responsibility. All classrooms are equipped with modern equipment and the children have access to a large library which is stocked termly with new recourses.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working with the EYFS framework and is able to assess students in adherence to the national guidelines and expectations. In this role, you will be teaching a well behaved reception class of 23 pupils and 1 student with SEN neds.

The school gives all teachers opportunities to adapt the national curriculum in a teaching style that adheres to the learning abilities within the class. The successful candidate will also have full support from the Senior Leadership Team who operates on an open door policy. By actively accessing the needs of the class, you will be able to deliver lessons that are adaptive to all learning abilities within the class. The school ensures that pupils are taught in a safe and encouraging environment where students are actively encouraged to succeed and develop character. The school boasts a friendly and energetic school environment where both staff and students benefit from regular training sessions and extra curricular activities.

  • Qualified Teaching Status
  • EYFS Experience
  • Passionate about supporting children in primary schools
  • Possess a Valid DBS certificate

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
