Job description

We are currently looking for a friendly, eager and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide support to children who speak English as an Additional Language, within one of our fantastic schools, located in the heart of Notting Hill.

The ideal candidate :
First of all, you must speak English fluently as well as an additional language, may it be French, Russian, Spanish or Arabic. You will need to relate to children on an individual level as well as creating a fun, stimulating and safe environment, whilst maintaining high standards of education. You will be looking after children speaking two or more languages, that have only recently arrived in the UK, and who may need support on a One-to-One basis as well as within their class environment. Though not compulsory, qualifications related to educational work and British based Primary school experience is highly recommended to be shortlisted. You must also be in possession of a Child (only) Workforce DBS (registered on the Update Service) or be willing to apply for one.
This offer is for a long-term position, 5 days per week. Though this position is available to start after the Christmas holidays, you must be available to interview and trial asap.

The school is located in the peaceful and safe area of Kensington, and gives a particular attention to Arts, Sports and multicultural related activities in general. Each Teacher works very closely with the TAs, as well as with the Head Teacher, who is very much involved in all the activities and classes within the school. This position is suitable for candidates who are willing to grow in their career working in education, therefore newly graduates teaching assistants looking to potentially become qualified teachers are recommended to apply.
