EAL Teaching Assistant - Toxteth - January 2019
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with various Primary Schools in the South Liverpool area to help aid their supply needs. One particular school based in the Toxteth area of Liverpool, are seeking numerous EAL Teaching Assistants to help on a full time basis starting in January 2019.
The role will primarily consist of working with pupils from a variety of ethnic, social and cultural backgrounds in a 1 to 1 or intervention group setting. The school require TA's who have at least 1 year's experience of working with EAL / ESL students or within a school with a high percentage of EAL students. Toxteth and the surrounding areas are diverse and multi-cultural and this is reflected in this pupils who attend this larger than average community Primary school.
All candidates must hold either a CACHE Level 3 or an Education Degree.
- EAL teaching assistant
- Full time starting from January 2019
- Must have previous experience supporting EAL students
- Strong Phonics Knowledge: Phase 1 to 5
- Various CPD opportunities
- The possibility of a long term contract for the right candidate
- Full support and guidance in a strong department
