EAL Teaching Assistant

Start date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a skilled Teaching Assistant to a client school in Rotherham. The successful applicant will join the School in February 2019 and will be required until the end of the academic year. The school wish to appoint for this position permanently, therefore successful applicants have the opportunity to stay as a permanent member of staff.

The successful Teaching Assistant will specifically support students and teachers across the School to provide individualised intervention for those students with English as an Additional Language and International New Arrivals. They will join schools SEN and Inclusion team and will support the academic and social needs of identified pupils. This will be done through in-class support and working with small groups of students and 1:1.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain the experience needed to progress towards a teaching career. Experience of working with Primary aged students/students with EAL is desirable but not essential as candidates who are appointed will receive full support and training from colleagues and Teachers.

Our partner school is a small successful Primary school with around 200 pupils on roll.
