Job description

Due to maternity leave, a well regarded secondary school in North Sheffield require a Resistant Materials teacher for the remainder of this academic year, starting from February half term. This will be a full time post undertaking responsibilities of the out-going Resistant Materials teacher who is a well regarded member of an experienced teaching team. All Resistant Materials teachers are welcome to apply including Newly Qualified Teachers with full support from a dedicated mentor during your time covering the maternity.

The successful Resistant Materials teacher applying will be joining a 'Good' school with students who are eager to learn and display excellent behaviour. Additionally, the department made excellent progress last year achieving a 67% A*-C pass rate at GCSE level. You will be required to teach Resistant Materials to A Level and ideally another language at KS3 level. However, another language is not essential.

Situated in North Sheffield, this is a larger than average secondary school serving a diverse community who are also part of a large trust. As a bigger picture, the trust encompasses 8 academies consisting of 5 Primary and 3 Secondary schools. They have over 6000 learners from 3 to 19 years and a total of over 850 staff working for the trust.
