Drama Teacher - Secondary

Teaching Personnel are working with a mixed secondary school based in the seaside town of Southsea in Portsmouth. The school is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school and it was judged a 'Good' with mention to its excellent SLT presence in its 2017 Ofsted.

The school is inclusive of all, making for an excellent community feel where individuals are celebrated each day. The school is purpose built with excellent transport links close by including train and bus. The School has just over 1200 pupils on roll and meets its subscription each year with a waiting list.

Drama Teacher Full time September 2019 Start

The Preforming Arts Department has grown stronger in the past few years, with the addition of new ways of learning and a fresh approach to teaching. As a Department they have great opportunities for the students to go on trips and study days to boost learning in and career aspirations. Drama has become a popular choice for many of the schools creative pupils. An increasing number of students choose to study Drama, with some choosing to take it further onto A Level.

The School are seeking to appoint an innovative Drama teacher who will have the experience, ability, talent and enthusiasm to realise excellent progress and attainment for all students, in particular the ability to teach KS3 & KS4. The successful candidate will also support the Head of Performing Arts in the strategic development of the department.
