Job description

Part-Time Intervention Support – Primary Schools (Blackburn)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Support Worker to work part-time across local primary schools in Blackburn, starting after half term.

The role will involve supporting children across Key Stage 2, delivering targeted interventions to help pupils make progress and build confidence in their learning. A key focus of the role will be providing SATs support, working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce core skills in English and Maths.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children, particularly KS2

  • Be confident supporting learning in preparation for SATs

  • Be patient, encouraging, and able to engage children positively

  • Work well as part of a school team and follow guidance from class teachers

Role details:

  • Part-time hours

  • Based in local primary schools across Blackburn

  • Start date: After half term

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
