- Full assistance provided for new DBS applications
Are you a newly qualified teacher looking for work in Sussex? Perhaps you would like the opportunity to build on your skills as an NQT or simply looking to secure your first teaching post in a local school. With over 60 branches located across the UK, your local branch is based in central Brighton (near Brighton train station). We work with schools and colleges across Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex. We also support SEN schools and pupil referral units (PRU) across the primary, secondary and FE sector.
In order to work as a supply teacher in the UK, you must have a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or similar), along with qualified teacher status (QTS). Ideally, you would have completed teaching placements in the UK within the last three years and be able to provide Teaching Personnel with suitable school based reference details.
Local rate of pay for general cover is £90 per day and you can expect a 25% wage increase for a longer term teaching post. Payment for any supply work carried out is made on a weekly basis.
It’s free to register with Teaching Personnel; however you will need to purchase a new DBS certificate (£44) if you do not have a valid ‘Child Workforce’ check subscribed to the Update Service.
If you would like to find out more about what it’s like to work for Teaching Personnel, please call one of our friendly consultants to discuss further. You can start the registration process online today using the following web address www.register.teachingpersonnel.com
