Drama Graduates for SEN Primary Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a specialist school in Newcastle who are searching for Teaching Assistants to support their Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils. The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with pupils with Serious Learning Difficulties including:

  • Downs Syndrome
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Autism

The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of young people with SEND; they will be enthusiastic and have a caring nature. Experience working with SEND is desirable, however we accept candidates from a variety of backgrounds. You will be supporting pupils within lesson times, including literacy and numeracy lessons as well as art, music and crafts.

You could be earning up to £65 per day in this role, and will have access to our unique CPD training courses, including an upcoming Team Teach course. You will be supported by a team of SEND specialist recruitment consultants who are best placed to support you throughout your role and place you onto any desired courses. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
