Are you a Design and Technology teacher with experience teaching Resistant Materials or Food Technology.

If so, please see the details of our client school located in Wigan who wish to appoint a Resistant Materials specialist who has the ability to cover Food Technology teacher ahead of the new academic year.

Due to a gap within their department, the head of Technology of this high achieving secondary school has the opportunity for any Technology teacher looking to secure a long term position ahead of the new academic year. Due to the nature of this position our client school are able to offer the incoming teacher a temporary post until the Easter period, with it being likely this post will be extended for the full 12 months.

The incoming Design and Technology teacher will be required to lead a timetable consisting mainly of Resistant Materials, with elements of lower school Food Technology. The ability to teach both areas to GCSE level is advantageous but not essential.

During the schools most recent Ofsted inspection in 2017, the senior management team are highlighted to provide clear direction and full support to staff. This is a well facilitated and newly built secondary school in the heart of Wigan, situated on the outskirts of Orrell with excellent public transport links. The school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Chorley, Bolton, Leigh, Salford, Golborne and Standish.
