Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Design and Technology teacher for a position which has recently opened within one of our 'Outstanding' Church of England client schools, based in Bolton.

The school wish to source and appoint a Design and Technology teacher to start in January 2019 until the end of the academic year, there will be an opportunity to earn a permanent teaching position beyond this temporary period depending on performance during this initial period.

  • Full time Design and Technology Teaching position - Start date January 2019
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS scale (£22,917 - £38,633)
  • You must hold QTS and have experience teaching Design and Technology at GCSE Level.
  • Working within an 'Outstanding' graded Secondary school in Bolton

Our Client Secondary school wishes to appoint a forward thinking Design and Technology teacher to cover an internal vacancy. The school would like to employ somebody who can hit the ground running from day one and take control of their own planning and marking responsibilities. It is important that the incoming teacher can teach engaging lessons and is able to maintain good class control during practical lessons.

The incoming Design and Technology teacher;

  • Will be passionate about Design and Technology and have excellent knowledge of the subject
  • Will set high expectations from their pupils and what they are able to achieve in class
  • Will be able to stretch the learning of student, regardless of their ability in order to attain excellent results at GCSE level
  • Will be able to deliver engaging lessons in order to generate enthusiasm amongst students within the class

Our client school is located in Farnworth and serves a wide catchment area within and beyond Bolton; it is larger than average and boasts to be in the top 3% schools nationally. The school has strong public transport links and can be easily accessible from surrounding areas; Bolton, Bury, Salford and Wigan.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
