Design and Technology Teacher – North Manchester

Full time Design and Technology Teacher required from January 2020 for a maternity cover.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Design and Technology Teacher to cover a maternity leave from January 2020 or sooner if possible for a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Design and Technology Teacher to continue their career at a popular secondary school in North Manchester.

• Full time Teacher of Design and Technology required from January 2020 or sooner if possible
• 12 month fixed term contract
• Teaching DT to both KS3 and KS4 level
• Teachers of all specialisms encouraged to apply (Resistant Materials, Food Technology, Textiles, and Graphics etc.)
• Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373-GBP40,490)

With a Progress 8 score in line with the national average, the students in attendance at this large academy make good progress through the hard work and dedication of the team of teaching staff.

Prospective applicants to this role should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK and also have experience of teaching Design and Technology up to GCSE level. This exciting role will involve full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking, with the majority of preparation of lessons taking place collaboratively during dedicated department time to ensure high quality and engaging lessons. The school is dedicated to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of all members of staff and has an excellent Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) programme.
