Teaching personnel are currently recruiting for an SEN cover Teacher within a specialised primary school in Slough. This role is perfect for someone who has any personal or professional experience supporting children with learning difficulties or challenging behaviour.

Working as a cover Teacher provides you with a flexible role that you can work around other commitments - block out your diary when you are not available, and take unlimited holiday!

This fantastic school we are recruiting for is specialised for children and young adults who face social, emotional and mental health difficulties between the ages of 8-19years. The pupils all have a range of additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, GDD and other learning difficulties. The environment is varied and your position will mainly be supporting pupils with their core lessons and helping them to develop social skills through well-being days run by various agencies. Due to the complex behavioural difficulties of the pupils, previous experience working in a similar environment is desired.

The ideal candidate would have…

• A passion and enthusiasm for working with children with learning difficulties
• Personal or professional experience with SEN
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills
• Interest in working 1:1 with children
• Ideally a SENCO qualification
• A QTS (qualified teacher status)

The hours of this role require the candidate to be available between the hours of 8:30-3:30, and the weekly rate is £500-£700 depending on experience and ability of classroom.
