Are you a qualified secondary teacher looking to secure a fixed term position without the responsibility of planning and marking?

Our client secondary school situated in Oldham are looking to appoint a qualified secondary teacher to join their cover team as a specific cover teacher and to alleviate pressure on teaching staff and ensure continuity for students in the absence of their regular teacher. The post has arisen due to one of the current cover team moving on to a teaching timetable from January 2019.

- Fixed term placement at well ran secondary school in Oldham

- Earn £19k - £25k dependant on experience and level of responsibility

- Work in line with school hours each day (8:30am - 3pm)

- Avoid morning calls and enjoy job security in temporary role until August 19

Our client school is well established in the local community and is the school of choice for a large number of students and parents. Since moving to a new building, the school has gone from strength to strength with results improving to well above the LEA average along with the behaviour and safety of students, judged to be exemplary in the most recent Ofsted inspection. The school is located a short journey from Oldham town centre and boasts excellent public transport links with a nearby tram stop and a number of bus routes.

Whilst working at our client school as a cover teacher, you will be responsible for covering pre-planned work left by the class' regular teacher, ensuring students are completing the work and engaged with the subject as well as their progress tracked and fed back to the class teacher. You will be expected to ensure students adhere to the behaviour policy as well as promoting the schools ethos.
